If you prefer a more traditional workflow, the palette mode in MacDraft allows you to display the key panels as floating palettes, so you can position them around your screen. This helps to when you have access to multiple screens.

MacDraft offers a range of options and settings that makes customising your workflow and speeding up your design process easy. Use custom preferences, interface colors, panel layout and more to get the best out of your MacDraft workflow.

In addition to the familiar alignment tools, MacDraft offers some additional alignment options. Use the page alignment options to quickly position items relative to the document bounds. Use smart alignment guides when drawing and dragging.

When working with complex documents you need to be able to select specific content easily. Use traditional marquee tools for simple selections and the layer select tool for specific item selection on other layers.

Speed and efficiency is as the hart of the MacDraft system. The Library system has been designed to make it easy for you to drag and drop symbols and components into your documents, saving you hours of drawing time.

Create floor plans and wall layouts quickly and easily with MacDraft’s intuitive parallel line tools, designed to make drawing your walls quick and simple. Change the end caps, thickness and more importantly the measurement position.

The Bezier and Spline curves can be used to draw complex, creative and unique shapes by combining a mix of straight lines and curves all controlled by unique and precise editing handles. You’ll also find a mix of precise intuitive Arc tools.

At the heart of MacDraft is its smart and precise units system, which makes dimensioning your drawings quick and easy. Our intuitive dimension tools are the best way to display the contents real-world sizes to anyone who may be viewing the drawing.

Choose the end marks you want to use on your dimensions, from a list of familiar and industry standard styles. You can also use these end marks of normal lines and curves and control the both ends and the size independently.

From center lines to hidden detail. Our list of familiar line styles are quick and easy to apply and can be used on almost any object. Combine this with the custom line style panel and create your own line styles for use in all your drawings.

The Rotate Tool freely rotates objects, with three levels of precision to a desired increment; The Rotate Options let you define the numerical values for the rotation; and Rotate by 90 quickly rotates your selected objects by a 90 degrees.

When resizing objects the datum point is the origin MacDraft uses as a reference. Control the origin point of all your objects and groups using the Edit Datum tool. This gives you complete independent control over how they behave when resized.

Images can be great for reference. MacDraft’s image system will remember the original state of your image. This non-destructive format means you can crop, change the dpi, pixel or physical size and manipulate your images easily with more precision.

You’ll find a set of default scales to use, in both English and Metric units. You can also create your own. Our smart unit system allows you to change it at any time and converts any size in your document to the new unit type.

MacDraft PE gives full control over a maximum of 5 layers in documents and control their individual scales. Individual layer scaling allows for pinpoint accuracy and intricate designs, specific to the layer content.

Use our intuitive grid system for easy alignment and positioning. Choose the snap increments and grid type for added precision. In addition you can control the interface colors of your grid and page breaks, for a custom workspace.

MacDraft PE offers a 17 by 17 inch drawing size which gives you all the space you need to create your CAD drawings. Combine that with the scale system and you'll have all you need to produce quality drawings easily.

If you want to move content around the drawing with specific position values, the advanced move option makes this quick and easy. The Move option give the option to choose absolute or relative positioning for more precision.

MacDraft PE has a few options for duplication, either using the traditional copy and paste method or by using the built in duplication. Copy and paste allows you to paste an item at the point where you click the mouse.

Take your designs to the next level by creating your own custom color swatches using the Swatches panel. Use the familiar system color panel to choose your colors, either by the color wheel, hex values, RGB, CMYK and much more.

Use the custom pattern generator to create repeatable and scalable patterns. Create full color or black and white patterns up to 512 by 512 pixels. You can also paste pixel images into the generator to create complex repeatable pixel patterns.

Gradients are at the heart of any graphical and vibrant layout. MacDraft supports the creation and management of Linear and Radial gradients. Create vibrant color blends for use in vector illustration, colorful floor and garden plans and more.

We know that complex drawings often include a large amount of colors, patterns and gradients. The Swatches panel is the perfect place to create, edit and assign swatches in your drawing, giving you a single place to manage your swatches.

MacDraft PEvides scaled or unscaled rulers to help position your objects. You can set the ruler to use different increments (points, inches, centimeters) by choosing the unit type in the Scale & Units. You can also move the zero point to define a new origin.

Guides are non-printable reference lines that are perfect for controlling the position and alignment of the objects across your documents. They can be very helpful when creating page layouts, CAD drawings, engineering plans and more.

The Smart Snap feature gives you complete control over the positioning of your objects and groups with relation to other items in the document. You’ll also be able to choose your grid snap increment and manage snapping with individual vertices.

MacDraft will have access to all font stored on your system. This includes any custom ones you have downloaded and installed. Manage your fonts, styles and formatting easily using the options in the properties panel or using the system panel.

MacDraft allows you to convert your text elements to 100% vector graphics. This will give you the ability to edit the attributes of the text element as if it was a normal vector object. This lets you manipulate parts to create unique text logos and branding.

When working with text elements, especially in page layouts or frames, often the text can flow beyond the size of the text box. MacDraft includes an intuitive Clipped Text feature that makes you aware when this happens by displaying a red icon.

Working together with clipped text and text boxes, you can flow streams of text from one text box to another. This is perfect for columns of text when laying out your documents. Text Flow is the perfect way to manage how your text is displayed.

Choose to display parts of your text as Superscript or Subscript with ease. You can also manage how low or high the text element is displayed, giving you full control over its vertical position with respect to the other text elements.

Use MacDraft’s built in spell checker to correct any spelling issues across your documents. Quickly navigate the spelling errors using the familiar system spelling panel.
