What is MacDraft and who is it for?
MacDraft is a 2D CAD and vector drawing application for Mac. Designed for architects, engineers and construction services as well as professional CAD users, designers, educators and hobbyist. MacDraft will give you the confidence and flexibility to design anything.

What is the difference between MacDraft Pro and MacDraft PE?
MacDraft Personal edition is a cut down version of the professional product. There are a number of features and options available in MacDraft Pro that are not available in MacDraft PE. The following list describes the differences:
- Drawing Size: MacDraft PE has a max drawing size of 17 inches by 17 inches, whereas the pro version has a max drawing size of 1785 inches by 1785 inches.
- Advanced drawing tools: There are no advanced drawing tools, such as booleans, linking, trimming and more incvuded in MacDraft PE.
- Dimension Formatting: There less options to format your dimensions on MacDraft PE.
- Number of Layers: MacDraft PE has 5 maximum layers, whereas the Pro version has unlimited.
- AutoCAD DWG Support: MacDraft PE does not support the opening or editing of DWG files, This is only availble in the Pro version.
- Integrated database & Report system: There is no reports or databases included in MacDraft PE.
- Preferences: Basic options in MacDraft PE.
- Advanced Selection: MacDraft PE does not includee the Select Special feature. This is only included in MacDraft Pro.
- Advanced Duplication: MacDraft PE only has the normal duplication options. It does not include Circular and Linear duplication, as these are only available in MacDraft PE.
- Custom line styles: No custom line styles in MacDraft PE, only available in Pro.
- Pen styles: No Pen Styles in MacDraft PE, only available in Pro.

Does MacDraft Pro allow me to open, edit and save DWG files?
Yes. DWG files are supported up to version AutoCAD 2018, AutoCAD 2019 (AC1032), allowing you to save, edit and open to this DWG file version. Opening DWG files allows you to control how they are viewed, giving you all the control you need when working with DWG file content. DWG support gives you the confidence that MacDraft will work with files you have recieved from other applications using the DWG file type.
What are the system requirements for MacDraft Pro?
MacDraft 8 is a 64 bit application and requires that you are using a machine running Mac OS 10.14 or later.
Is there a Windows version of MacDraft?
Yes. We have 2D CAD product for Windows called PC Draft Pro. It has almost all the same features as MacDraft Pro, but has a user experience designed specifically for Windows users. Check out the PC Draft features for more information.
Can I try MacDraft Pro for free, before I buy?
Yes, there is a free 14 day trial available for MacDraft Pro. The trial includes all of the features and options, free to use for 14 days. This will give you all you need to see what MacDraft has to offer and can do for you, and once you are happy you can then buy MacDraft Pro.
Is MacDraft Pro compatible with macOS Ventura?
Yes, the latest MacDraft version 8 is fully compatible with macOS Ventura. MacDraft 7 is also compatible with Ventura, but it is highly recommended that you upgrade to the latest. If you’re running an earlier version, such as version 6.2, 6.1, 6.0 or 5.6, then you will need to upgrade to the latest version.
Is MacDraft Pro Silicon Chip/M1 compatible?
YES, MacDraft 8 is now fully compatible with the Apple Silicon chip sets. It is also 64 bit and compatible with the latest operating systems, bringing all the power, speed and technology that the latest machines will bring.

Purchasers of Microspot products are eligible for free technical support throughout the lifetime of their software version. PC Draft is fully compatible with Windows 10 and requires Windows 8 or higher with a minimum of 1GB RAM, CPU equivalent to an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz or better.
Is there a Mac version of PC Draft Pro?

What is DWG Viewer and who is it for?
Microspot DWG Viewer is an easy to use app for viewing your AutoCAD DWG and DXF files from your PC on the Mac. Open your DWG and DXF files with ease and without file size restrictions, then annotate them with your own comments. In addition you’ll be able to save your annotated DWG files as a flattened scaleable PDF file.
What are the system requirements for DWG Viewer?
DWG Viewer for Mac requires any Mac running Mac OS X 10.10.5 or later.
Can I try DWG Viewer for free, before I buy?
Yes, there is a free trial version available for DWG Viewer. The trial is not time limited, but you will not be able to export as PDF or print. The trial download is available from the Free Demo page.
Can I open DWG files created on my PC?
Yes, you can open your windows DWG files. Sometimes if the file contains fills and hatchings they will not be included.
Can I edit DWG files using DWG Viewer?
DWG Viewer allows you to view and annotate your DWG drawings. If you want to edit your DWG files MacDraft Pro allows you to edit and save them.
Can I choose Scale and Units in DWG Viewer?
Yes, DWG viewer allows you to define the scale and units of the DWG file before you open it. Or if you prefer DWG Viewer can open the file automatically using the default settings for the file.

Compatible DXF file formats
DWG Viewer 2.0 can now open MacDraft 6.2 (MD60) - MacDraft 5.6, MacDraft 6.0, MacDraft 6.1 MacDraft 6.2 file formats for viewing your MacDraft documents.
Do I need to upload my files to the internet before opening?
DWG Viewer lets you open your files from anywhere on your system and external devices, internet is not required.
Can I manage layers in DWG Viewer?
Yes, DWG Viewer shows the layers and allows you to control the visibility of the layers by clicking the eye symbol.

Do you accept PayPal payments for purchases?

Does Microspot offer educational pricing?

Can I get a refund for a download version of a product?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds for download versions of the software once the serial number and the download link has been supplied.
We strongly recommend that you check the suitability of the product to ensure it meets your requirements prior to purchase by downloading the trial versions of the product you are intrerested in.

I have not recieved my order / upgrade?
Payments for orders are processed by our e-commerce company called digital river. They take payment and supply the serial number and the download link for Download versions of the software.
For physical products and upgrades, Digital River takes payment and pass the information onto us to supply the goods. Physical products are shipped via international sign for delivery service. It can take between 4-8 working days to deliver, depending on the location of the final destination.
Upgrades are checked by Microspot for eligibility and sent via the email supplied by the customer, if this email is incorrect and no other form of communication has been supplied such as a phone number or fax number, we will have to wait until the customer contacts us. It is also possible that the email address supplied was correct but the customer has a junk mail filter, we always advise you check that folder. Please be aware that as upgrades are subject to verification, this can only be done during office opening hours, which are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 (excluding public holidays).
Can I get a replacement if my CD or USB doesn’t work?
YES, however we do require that the disk is sent back to us for testing. We do not need the whole package to be returned, only the CD itself. In some circumstances we will not ask for you to return the CD. In both cases a CD replacement will be issued free of charge.
Note: One of our support agents may ask to chat to you before a replacement is ordered, just to see if they can fix the issue for you quickly. Please contact our support team if you are having any problems.
